Job summary

Shipt is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Order Management team. You will drive design and build of systems powering our core operations, and engage in hands-on development for the most complex tasks in a micro-services architecture using Go, Postgres, Redis, and Kafka.

You will mentor engineers, influence architectural roadmaps, and ensure solutions are production-ready, scalable, and secure while delivering high business impact across product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience building large, scalable micro-service applications in the cloud.
• Experience providing technical mentorship and code reviews with focus on testability and good design.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems deeply to root cause and fix production issues.
• Architectural design experience for future use cases and resiliency.
• Experience defining and monitoring SLIs and SLOs for reliability.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs and AI tooling.

Responsibilities
