Job summary

Anduril Industries is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, improve, and maintain the core package set that supports software distribution across the company. You will package components using Nix, set standards, and train engineers while working autonomously in a complex environment.

Ideal candidates have strong Nix experience, deep build-system knowledge, and proficiency in languages such as Rust, C++, Go, Python, or Haskell, with eligibility for a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Nix, Nixpkgs, NixOS and functional programming.
• Deep understanding of how build systems and packaging ecosystems work.
• Ability to dive into large and complicated systems, and use Nix to improve them.
• Experience with one or more languages: Rust, C++, Go, Python, or Haskell.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an internal package set to enable software distribution across the company.
• Package open-source and proprietary components using Nix.
• Improve developer ergonomics by defining Nix standards and tooling.
• Provide assistance, training, and mentorship to other engineers.
