Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the NixOS-based overlay and the tower network topology for Sentry Tower products. You will define modules, typical compute definitions, and image definitions used across variants.

You’ll consolidate legacy per-product configs into a common base, extend the real-time messaging layer, and debug issues from kernel to sensor daemons. US person status with security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Linux systems, embedded platforms, or infrastructure.
• Deep networking: VLANs, bridging, NAT, firewalling; diagnose with ip/tcpdump/Wireshark.
• Declarative configuration and reproducible builds; Nix/NixOS preferred.
• Proficiency in Rust or C++ to read/modify services atop the platform.
• Comfort with hardware troubleshooting and remote debugging of boards.
• Ability to define and maintain technical interfaces across teams.
• US person status with eligibility for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the shared base of the NixOS overlay: system modules, compute definitions, and image definitions.
• Own the tower network topology end to end: VLANs, bridging, NAT, and carrier mappings.
• Define and enforce integration contracts for payloads extending the platform.
• Consolidate legacy per-product configs into a common overlay with build-time checks.
• Support and extend the real-time messaging layer as the pub-sub system evolves.
• Debug kernel, device tree, systemd, Nix eval, and sensor daemons across layers.
