Job summary

enGen is seeking a skilled software engineer to join an agile team focused on building scalable applications across digital channels. The role emphasizes enterprise-wide architectural decisions and technical execution using C# within the .NET framework on Azure.

You will participate in all stages from idea through design to delivery, applying modern patterns and practices. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, drive feature development, and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable, highly available systems.
• 5 years in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica preferred) with experience in two of: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, GCP or AWS.
• 5 years understanding of REST/HTTPS/JSON web services.
• 5 years with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Python (Django/Flask), C/C++, C#, JavaScript, or Go.
• 5 years defining system architectures and trade-offs for short-term vs long-term capabilities.
• 7 years in healthcare tech experience (preferred).
• 5 years translating design mockups, prototypes and user stories into working applications.
• 5 years creating fault-tolerant, efficient, maintainable code.
• 1 year working with ML/NLU/MT/DNN related fields.

Responsibilities

• Design and write engineering specifications and code that adheres to coding standards.
• Explore and implement technical solutions to achieve required features while safeguarding functionality, scalability and performance.
• Be part of an agile team and participate in all scrum ceremonies, assisting in sprint planning and executing sprints.
• Drive story creation with DoD, acceptance criteria, estimation; create tasks in RTC or Jira and update status.
• Monitor progress against production schedule and report issues to lead developers regularly.
• Mentor other associate and intermediate software engineers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
