Goldman Sachs in New York seeks a Vice President‑level Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver multi‑chain tokenization and interoperability solutions across Canton/Daml and EVM ecosystems, partnering with business, product, and operations.

You will build production smart contracts, tokenization services, and secure cross‑network patterns, with a focus on enterprise-grade distributed systems, governance, risk controls, and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• Multi-chain tokenization expertise in production systems within a financial services or regulated enterprise.
• Strong expertise in EVM and Solidity smart-contract engineering, including token standards, access control, security, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Strong Canton and Daml smart-contract engineering, including templates, choices, contract keys, privacy, and upgrade-safe design.
• Demonstrable experience with multi-chain and interoperability architecture, cross-chain messaging, bridges, and asset transfer patterns.
• Strong capital-markets and tokenization domain knowledge across asset classes (securities, money market, tokenized deposits, etc.).
• Event-driven, API-first enterprise architecture experience using Java and/or TypeScript, REST/gRPC, and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement production‑grade smart contracts, tokenization services, and interoperability components across Canton/Daml and EVM environments.
• Design and deliver multi‑chain tokenization workflows across securities, funds, collateral mobility, and digital‑cash use cases.
• Design secure, cross‑network transaction and settlement patterns, including coordinated settlement and mint‑and‑burn patterns.
• Model and implement end‑to‑end asset lifecycles: issuance, custody, transfer restrictions, settlement, and reporting.
• Design privacy‑aware, resilient distributed‑ledger solutions with identity, key management, wallet integration, and production controls.
• Establish and promote engineering standards for multi‑chain design, testing, security, observability, and delivery.
• Evaluate blockchain protocols, interoperability frameworks, and cryptographic techniques for institutional tokenization suitability.
