Job description

We're looking for a Blockchain Platform Engineer to help design, build, and scale next-generation blockchain and tokenization infrastructure. You'll engineer reusable Web3 platform capabilities spanning smart contracts, token lifecycle services, blockchain connectivity, wallets, custody integrations, transaction orchestration, and event indexing.

You'll work across Ethereum/EVM, Hyperledger Besu, Canton/Daml, permissioned blockchains, public blockchains, private/consortium networks, and emerging tokenization protocols — moving from architecture and prototyping into secure, scalable, production-ready Web3 infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and build reusable Web3 platform services for tokenization, transaction processing, blockchain connectivity, wallet integration, event ingestion, indexing, and token lifecycle management
  • Build backend services that interact with blockchain nodes, smart contracts, signing systems, custody platforms, and off-chain systems
  • Develop blockchain abstraction layers supporting multiple networks — Besu, Canton, Ethereum/EVM, Layer 2s, permissioned chains, and future enterprise platforms
  • Implement blockchain connectivity via JSON-RPC, WebSocket subscriptions, ABI encoding/decoding, event logs, transaction submission, and status tracking
  • Support Canton/Daml engineering patterns, including validator/participant connectivity, DAR package lifecycle, transaction authorization, and workflow integration
  • Partner with platform, infrastructure, and operations teams on Canton validator strategy (self-hosted vs. provider-operated)
  • Design, develop, integrate, and review smart contracts for tokenized asset and programmable workflow use cases
  • Work with Solidity, EVM token standards, upgradeable contracts, proxy patterns, access-control models, and permissioned-token designs
  • Build contract interaction layers for ABI encoding, calldata construction, transaction simulation, and event decoding
  • Establish standards for smart-contract testing, deployment, versioning, and production change governance
  • Support smart-contract security practices — threat modeling, static analysis, fuzzing, and invariant testing
Wallet, Signing & Transaction Orchestration
  • Integrate with institutional wallet, custody, signing, and authorization platforms
  • Design transaction orchestration workflows: request validation, policy checks, approval routing, signing, submission, confirmation tracking, retries, exception handling, and audit logging
  • Support address/account registration, transaction limits, allowlists, signing policies, and approval workflows
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years building distributed systems, backend platforms, financial systems, blockchain infrastructure, custody platforms, trading systems, or high-scale transaction systems
  • Strong hands‑on Web3 engineering experience
  • Deep understanding of Ethereum/EVM — smart contracts, ABI encoding, transaction lifecycle, gas/fee handling, nonce management, logs/events, confirmations, finality
  • Experience building backend services interacting with blockchain nodes, wallets, smart contracts, signing systems, or custody platforms
  • Experience with JSON-RPC, WebSocket subscriptions, blockchain event indexing, and transaction monitoring
  • Strong understanding of wallet infrastructure, transaction signing, address management, and key‑management patterns
  • Strong backend skills in Java, Go, Kotlin, TypeScript, Rust, Python, or C++
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, event‑driven architecture, messaging systems, and cloud-native production operations
  • Ability to independently own complex engineering problems from design through production delivery
  • Experience with Canton, Daml, validator/participant concepts, DAR deployment, or institutional blockchain workflows
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hyperledger Besu, permissioned EVM networks, or private blockchain deployment experience
  • Smart-contract audit, fuzz testing, static analysis, or formal verification experience
  • Experience building blockchain indexers, transaction orchestration systems, custody integrations, token lifecycle platforms, or wallet-policy engines
  • Familiarity with ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, ERC-1400, ERC-3643, or other permissioned-token standards
  • Experience in regulated, security-sensitive, or high-value transaction environments
  • Besu or Digital Asset Daml/Canton certifications a plus
