Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President-level Senior Software Engineer to lead multi-asset tokenization efforts using Canton and Daml. You will design, implement, and deliver secure, production-grade tokenization workflows for Global Markets and Banking, collaborating with product and control functions to meet complex regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes deep Daml/Canton expertise, strong capital-markets knowledge, and a hands-on approach to building scalable distributed-ledger

Qualifications

Significant hands-on experience designing and delivering production tokenization systems.
Deep Daml smart-contract engineering including templates, choices, contract keys, and privacy.
Experience with Canton architecture, nodes, and ledger APIs in production.
Capital-markets domain knowledge across securities, collateral, and tokenized assets.
Understanding institutional asset lifecycles and settlement models.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement production-grade Daml smart contracts for the platform.
Design multi-asset tokenization workflows across securities, funds, collateral, and digital cash.
Model end-to-end asset lifecycles including issuance, custody, settlement, and actions.
Design Canton solutions with secure topology, identity, and access controls.
Promote engineering standards: testing, packaging, observability, and secure delivery.
Integrate tokenization workflows with custody, wallets, and settlement rails.
Evaluate new blockchain protocols and privacy/cryptography technologies.
