Job summary

ERT, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to CNMOC Data Dissemination SBIR IT Solutions. You will work across the software lifecycle, translate customer needs into user stories, and deliver capabilities in sprint cycles while mentoring teammates.

You will apply Python, data engineering, cloud and DevSecOps practices in a mission-critical environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating complex technical options clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 6+ years of experience.
• Strong Python background with data processing libraries and JSON/XML.
• Experience designing/maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in operational environments.
• Proficient with Git/Subversion and Agile lifecycle tools (Jira, Jenkins, JUnit, GitLab).

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle for a mission-critical product.
• Design, code, test, and maintain software; support debugging and optimization.
• Translate customer needs into user stories and deliver working capabilities each sprint.
• Mentor other developers on the team to improve skills and performance.
• Lead sprint demos and implement improvements from retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product teams to solve hard problems and communicate trade-offs.
