Job summary

Caira Surgical is a MedTech innovator focused on navigated and robotic orthopedic surgery. We are hiring a Software Engineer/Sr. Software Engineer to lead Navigation Application development in a remote-friendly, hybrid setup near Tampa, FL.

You will work with surgeons and designers, plan development timelines, and ensure products meet regulatory and quality standards while staying on the cutting edge of software trends.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Computer Science or engineering.
• Proven experience as an application developer.
• Proven ability to develop in C/C++, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Experience with Qt.
• Experience with Agile software development processes is preferred.
• Critical and analytical thinking skills and keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with Marketing and Surgeon Designers to ensure user needs are understood and documented.
• Create project plans and timelines for Development, Verification & Validation and Deployment of Surgical Navigation Applications.
• Design and develop Surgical Navigation Applications meeting user needs following Product Development Process and Quality System guidelines.
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure applications align with organizational goals and customer needs.
• Participate with Operations, Quality and Regulatory Affairs to develop and support quality processes, procedural documentation, regulatory filings, and complaint handling.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve our overall application development process and development efficiency.
• Work with Regulatory Affairs to stay current with FDA guidance and requirements.
• Remain current on technology trends to keep our software innovative and extensible.
• Stay on track of the application lifecycle to ensure updates are completed on time.
