Job summary

ATEC Spine seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead software development for its intra-op spine navigation and robotics platform. You will design, implement, and validate high-quality C++ applications on Unix/Linux, mentor engineers, and drive regulatory-compliant software development in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

You will collaborate with R&D, marketing, and clinical teams to shape future product features and ensure reliability, with travel up to 15% to support surgical cases

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in development of surgical navigation or equivalent medical device products.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to software and test engineers.
• Design, develop, test, maintain, and validate software applications for Unix/Linux.
• Design and implement C++ applications and frameworks.
• Perform integration and system level testing of software and software/hardware systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define future product features and prioritise roadmap.
• Produce documentation including design artifacts and test plans.
• Mentor junior resources and own end-to-end module delivery.
• Travel up to 15% as needed.
