Job summary

Real Staffing is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support an orthopedic digital surgery and navigation initiative. The role focuses on early-stage technology exploration, proof-of-concept development, and disciplined systems engineering in a regulated medical device environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
Minimum 7+ years of Systems Engineering experience in a regulated product development environment.
Experience at Senior/Principal/Staff level in Systems Engineering.
Experience with surgical navigation, digital surgery, robotics, imaging, or related medical devices.

Responsibilities

Lead systems engineering activities for early-stage technology and product development initiatives.
Develop and manage system requirements, specifications, and traceability documentation.
Conduct system-level analysis, architecture development, and technical evaluations.
Perform risk management per medical device development processes.
Support proof-of-concept development and feasibility assessments.
Collaborate with software, hardware, mechanical, robotics, imaging, and clinical teams.
Ensure adherence to medical device standards and design controls.
Contribute to verification and validation planning.
Provide independent engineering leadership and problem-solving.
