Job summary

Elucent Medical, based in Minnesota, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for an in-person role in our R&D department. The candidate will design and develop software for an electromagnetic positioning system as part of a project team, delivering a complete surgical navigation product through robust software solutions and communication of status and results.

The ideal candidate has advanced software development knowledge, strong C/C++ or C# skills, and experience in a regulated medical device

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software engineering or a related field (PhD preferred).
Proven experience developing complete software products.
Solid C/C++ or C# programming experience.
Five years in software development, troubleshooting, documentation and testing in a regulated industry, medical device preferred.
Experience with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.

Responsibilities

Design and develop software for an electromagnetic positioning system.
Work as part of a project team to deliver a complete surgical navigation product and communicate status and results.
Prepare reports and other documentation.
Recommend improvements to software and processes.
