Tactile Medical in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for regulated at-home medical devices. You will lead firmware features, perform integration and verification, and ensure release-ready quality.

The role requires 7+ years in firmware, strong C/C++ skills for MCU-based systems, experience with RTOS, and regulatory standards (IEC 62304, ISO 14971) including FDA 510(k).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 7+ years of firmware/embedded software experience.
• Strong C/C++ development for microcontroller-based systems (RTOS/bare-metal).
• Experience with regulated medical devices (FDA 510(k)).
• Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and design controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain embedded firmware for regulated medical devices.
• Lead complex firmware features from concept to release and post-market support.
• Develop and maintain software for microcontroller-based embedded systems using C/C++.
• Support hardware/software integration, diagnostics, and system-level troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
