Job summary

Laborie is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the design and development of software for medical devices. You will lead software projects, mentor peers, and drive cross-team collaboration to deliver reliable systems per QMS and relevant standards.

The role emphasizes system-level software design, testing, and integration across engineering teams. A bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience are required, with strong OO design and modern OO languages in a medical-device context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in software design and development.
• Production-ready software for medical devices (IEC 62304).
• Experience with unit- and integration-level testing and automation testing is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement system software from concept to product launch.
• Mentor junior engineers and train team members.
• Collaborate across software, systems engineering, and manufacturing groups.
• Develop test methods, unit tests, and V&V criteria.
• Create modular, scalable software for multi-year programs.
