Job summary

Laborie is seeking a Senior R&D Project Manager in Minnesota to lead new product development from concept to commercialization, oversee design transfer, and integrate products into QMS and regulatory frameworks. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, and regulatory to deliver on time and within scope.

The role requires 3–5 years in R&D with 5–7 years in program management, and strong leadership in highly regulated environments including ISO 13485/QMS.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering or STEM; 3–5 years in R&D/product development plus 5–7 years in PM/leadership.
• Proven track record delivering complex cross-functional projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Design transfer planning for contract design and manufacturing streams.
• Strong planning, organizational skills, and ability to lead without direct authority.
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet).
• Excellent presentation and communication with technical and non-technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects from concept through commercialization and post-launch support (NPD, QMS integrations, product improvements).
• Define goals, scope, deliverables, timelines, success criteria and resource needs with leadership alignment.
• Ensure compliance with stage-gate processes, design controls, QMS, regulatory standards and DFx principles.
• Develop integrated project plans and manage risks, issues, dependencies, budgets and decisions.
• Establish cross-functional communication and stakeholder alignment to ensure milestones.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance project outcomes.
