Innova Solutions is seeking a Mainframe Cobol Programmer for a Minneapolis-based contract assignment. The role focuses on maintaining core data applications, enhancing COBOL programs, and supporting nightly batch processing. You will work with Hogan IDS data flows, JCL, and Endevor in an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate has strong COBOL mainframe experience, expertise with VSAM, and a solid batch processing background, with guidance to junior engineers and production support duties.

Qualifications

• Strong COBOL development experience in a mainframe environment.
• Strong understanding of and extensive hands-on experience with VSAM.
• Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy, highly customized mainframe applications.
• Solid understanding of JCL for batch processing.
• Experience with Endevor and other core mainframe technologies.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Solid coding foundation with the ability to learn and adapt within complex legacy systems.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Mainframe Cobol Programmer.

Position Type: Contract

Duration: 12+ Months (Strong possibility of extension and potential conversion)

Location: Minneapolis, MN

As a Mainframe Cobol Programmer, you will:

• Support and maintain the Data Distributor, NOVA, and SD applications within the Core Deposits team.
• Modify existing COBOL programs to meet product and business requirements, including enhancements, fixes, and regulatory updates.

Pay Range

Pay Range*: $52 -$57 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
