Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a Middleware Administrator to support enterprise Java-based applications and middleware in a banking environment. You will install, configure, patch, troubleshoot, and migrate WebSphere to Tomcat, with a focus on high availability and production stability.

The role requires hands-on WebSphere/Tomcat migration experience, familiarity with Apache, J2EE, Java, JBoss, and DevOps practices. This is a hybrid role with on-site and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Information Technology professional with 5-7 years of experience
• Hands‑on experience in WebSphere to Tomcat Server migration

Responsibilities

• Provide middleware administration duties end-to-end for GIS platforms including WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, and WXS
• Deliver middleware enterprise projects and regulatory initiatives
• Ensure production stability from ongoing support perspective
• Ensure middleware platforms are patched with current software versions
• Provide Middleware Server administration including install, configuration, performance tuning, production support
• Work with application/testing teams daily for Middleware and Java support
• Create and support deployment templates; act as a J2EE architect and advise on best practices
• Design Middleware infrastructure for high availability and failover meeting standards and business needs
• Provide technical consultation to team members and supported areas
• Interface with internal customers and vendors across SDLC; execute production changes for bank releases
• Coordinate with business partners at enterprise level

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Middleware Administrator
Position type: Full-time, Contract Hybrid -3 Days Onsite and 2 Days Remote work in a week
Duration: 12 -18 Months Contract
Location(s): Either Pennington, NJ / Charlotte, NC / Jacksonville, NC

As a Middleware Administrator / Middleware Engineer / WebSphere Administrator you will be:
Supporting enterprise Java-based applications and middleware infrastructure in a banking environment.
Client wants someone who can install, configure, support, patch, troubleshoot, and manage enterprise middleware platforms
Looking someone who migrate WebSphere to Tomcat

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Provide middleware administration duties for Global Information Security (GIS) platforms, end-to-end, including WebSphere, jBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, and WXS (extreme scale cache).


• Delivering middleware enterprise projects and regulatory legislative initiatives.


• Ensuring production stability from an ongoing support standpoint.


• Ensuring middleware platforms are patched with the most current version of software, helping to manage risk to the customer.


• Providing Middleware Server administration which includes server installation, configuration, performance tuning and production support.


• Working with customers (application teams and/or testing teams) on a daily basis and providing Middleware and Java support.


• Create, maintain and support the application deployment templates; Serving as a J2EE architect and making recommendations on J2EE best practices in application development.


• Designing Middleware infrastructure and topology design for high availability and failover capability; All solutions must meet all Policy, Baseline, and Standards along with business requirements.


• Providing technical consultation to other team members and their supported areas.


• Communicating with business partners at an enterprise level; Interfacing with internal customers and external vendors for consultation at various points of the software development life cycle (SDLC); and, Executing production changes for Bank integrated and regulatory releases with precision.

Pay Rate Range

$ 65.00/hr-$73.00/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
