Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Air Combat Autonomy team to design and improve live, virtual, and constructive simulation solutions. The role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting architectures, and mentoring junior engineers.

Relocation to Fort Walton Beach, FL is encouraged for the first year, with in-office work five days a week. You will develop adapters and interfaces in C++ (2017+) and Python (3.10+), participate in CI/CD,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in modeling & simulation, computer science, or software engineering.
• Experience with interoperability standards such as DIS, HLA, and DSEEP to build LVC federations.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing performant modern C++ (2017+).
• Experience with Docker, Linux systems (RHEL/Ubuntu), and modern dev tools (git, VS Code, GitLab, SonarQube, Artifactory/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve live, virtual, and constructive simulation solutions for experimentation, testing, and training of multi-agent autonomy software.
• Document LVC architectures, create simulation scenarios, write interface code, conduct code reviews, and resolve integration roadblocks.
• Mentor junior engineers, drive CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to security compliance.
