Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. seeks a Robotic Software Engineer to design and integrate complex autonomy systems across hardware and software.

You will deploy autonomy algorithms in SIL, HIL and live environments, integrating hardware and software on vehicle platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams for defense and commercial customers. Qualifications

• BS or MS in Robotics, Computer Science or related engineering field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with robotic systems (hardware, software, integration).
• Experience with C++ programming.
• Experience integrating autonomy products with Pixhawk autopilots (ArduPilot / PX4).
• Experience with UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI/QSPI, I2C, Ethernet.
• Experience with Docker, containerized deployments, and Linux-based systems.
• Experience using Git, Visual Studio Code, GitLab.
• Familiarity with real-time, edge computing and SIL/HIL environments.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused delivery mindset.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% for on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and develop modular autonomy capabilities for defense problems.
• Integrate autonomy onto embedded Linux and hardware platforms, interfacing with sensors and data collection.
• Troubleshoot complex integration and software issues for high reliability.
• Integrate autonomy software with hardware to support aircraft autopilots, datalinks, sensors, GPS/INS, GCS, etc.
• Support live flight tests of autonomy software on UAVs (group 1–5).
• Collaborate with 3rd party UAS vendors for autonomy software integration on OEM hardware.
• Conduct system-level setup, testing, and validation including SIL/HIL.
• Collaborate with autonomy engineers to implement service-oriented-architecture software and inter-process messaging for UASs and DoD domains.
