Job summary

AEITS, Inc., a GTSC company, is seeking a Software Engineer, Level 3, to join on-site operations in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems driven by documented requirements.

Strong emphasis on design reviews, testing, and performance optimization across large data sets and real-time systems. Requirements include either a high school diploma with 24 years of SWE experience or a Bachelor's degree with 20 years of SWE experience

Qualifications

• High School with 24 years of SWE experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required with 20 years SWE experience on projects with similar software processes.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports and uses appropriate development methodologies.
• Provides input to system design including hardware/software trade-offs and reuse of COTS/GOTS.
• Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance and standards.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance, data usage, and workflows.
• Modify existing software to improve performance or adapt to new hardware.
• Design, develop and modify software systems using analytical and mathematical models.
