Job summary

Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield is seeking a senior systems analyst to lead high‑level analysis and the implementation of efficient, cost‑effective software solutions across multiple platforms. You will guide design, development, code testing and debugging to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field of study, and at least 2 years of software development experience (ex. Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, C++, .NET, Java, SQL) OR 6 years of related and applicable experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and develop creative technical solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Ability to translate WaaS strategy to design/development decisions and to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level analysis and implementation of innovative, efficient, and cost-effective business solutions for multiple platforms.
• Guide other engineers in design, development, code testing, debugging and resolution of issues using emerging technology.
• Provide advanced support for root cause analysis, problem definition and formulation, solution implementation and ongoing optimization.
• Mentor and collaborate with other technology teams to develop and implement solutions.
• Use data, cost metrics (AWS, infrastructure, labor) to influence timely decisions and deliver project objectives.
