Job summary

Wellmark, Inc. is seeking a software developer to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain solutions that support the company’s Total Cost of Care strategy.

You will partner with Technology and Network Services teams to deliver scalable solutions that strengthen Wellmark’s provider network. The role focuses on building and maintaining applications, data pipelines, and reporting solutions with emphasis on data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field and 1 year of software development experience or 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to research root causes, define problems, and propose solutions using data.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Provide development and production support for key software applications and systems.
• Contribute to solutions architecture and design deliverables with technical specs for teams.
• Collaborate with UX to improve accessibility and usability in solutions.
• Resolve technical problems across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid apps.
• Gather information and perform root cause analysis to support optimization.
• Propose solutions that promote successful delivery and benefits realization.
• Communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders; foster teamwork.
