Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Software Engineer Lead to build scalable, distributed systems for AI/ML‑driven enterprise applications. You will lead a team of developers and data scientists to deliver production‑grade services on petabyte‑scale data.

You will own core capabilities from ingest pipelines to search infrastructure, while integrating AI/ML, ensuring security and performance in high‑stakes environments. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance with polygraph.
• 4–6 years backend development in Python and Java.
• 4–6 years frontend development with Angular.
• 6–8 years AWS architecture design.
• 6–8 years Linux scripting and system utilities.
• 2–3 years AI/ML development and data science understanding.
• Experience on Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, and GitHub for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Participate with iterative software development teams following reporting requirements.
• Integrate AI/ML into production web applications.
• Design, develop and unit test code for production systems.
• Develop rapid prototypes to refine requirements and design.
• Provide demonstrations and walkthroughs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Meet with stakeholders to translate requirements into tasks.
• Create technical documentation for program reviews and workflows.
• Write and maintain documentation for workflows and compliance.
• Optimize application performance for scalability and security.
