Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop and deliver complex requirements for payments technology. You will ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance needs, with maintainable design and testability baked in from the start.

The role focuses on Android application development using Java and Kotlin, integration with RESTful services, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines in a collaborative, in-office environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience coding solutions and unit testing to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• 3+ years experience Designing/developing/modifying architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
• Proven experience with Java and Kotlin Android Application in production-level applications.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, and JSON
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
• Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack.
• Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle.
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Automates manual release activities.
• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
