Job summary

Olsson seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead citizen development and innovation initiatives within Applied Technology. You will partner with DSLs, business owners, and technical experts to identify opportunities and deliver scalable solutions across the full lifecycle—from discovery to deployment and support.

This hands-on leader ensures solutions align with governance, security, and long-term support models while mentoring citizen developers and driving measurable business value for Olsson

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, BIS, or related field preferred; associates degree with equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum 6+ years delivering technology, automation, software, or digital transformation solutions.
• Experience leading cross-functional technology initiatives with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience gathering requirements, evaluating solutions, and managing projects through development and support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with AEC software platforms is a plus (Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, ACC, Bentley, ArcGIS, QGIS)

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SDLC from intake through deployment and support as primary technical delivery lead.
• Partner with DSLs, stakeholders, and SMEs to identify opportunities and define requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend approaches including automation, AI-enabled solutions, low-code platforms, or third-party technologies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Infrastructure.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and well integrated with existing systems and processes.
