Olsson seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead citizen development and innovation initiatives within Applied Technology. You will partner with business owners, DSLs, and IT teams to identify opportunities, define requirements, and drive scalable tech solutions through discovery, design, deployment, and support.

This role emphasizes governance, security, and repeatable practices while mentoring citizen developers and ensuring long-term sustainability of solutions across Lincoln, NE, Omaha, NE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field; associate acceptable with experience.
• 6+ years delivering technology, automation, software, or digital transformation solutions.
• Experience leading cross-functional technology initiatives and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Requirements gathering, evaluating solutions, and managing projects end-to-end.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, VBA, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SDLC from intake to deployment as primary technical delivery lead.
• Partner with DSLs and stakeholders to identify opportunities and evaluate options.
• Evaluate approaches like automation, AI-enabled solutions, low-code, or third-party tech.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and well-integrated.
