Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Software Engineer in Test in Westlake, TX to lead automated testing for API and UI across Salesforce, Angular, and Node.js platforms.

The role requires 5+ years in automation, strong Java/SQL skills, and hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber, and CI/CD tools. Onsite work in Westlake is expected with collaboration across DevOps and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in functional and automation testing.
• Experience in functional and automation testing of API and UI.
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools: Selenium/Playwright, Cypress, and Cucumber.
• Experience with Karate is a must.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, DevOps.
• Strong technical skills: SQL, Java, AWS/Azure.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze business requirements based on user stories; design and build test strategy and test cases for integration, load and functional tests.
• Conduct requirement elicitation and model processes, data models and mappings to capture expectations.
• Design and develop REST API automation scripts using Java and Rest Assured with request chaining and validations.
• Develop UI automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver for cross-browser end-to-end validation.
• Configure standard and custom objects to meet business requirements and automate workflows.
• Create and maintain automation frameworks with BDD (Cucumber) and CI/CD integration.
• Architect scalable automation solutions (TestNG, data-driven, hybrid models).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure QA traceability in JIRA; support audit compliance.
• Collaborate with QA, developers, and DevOps to troubleshoot failures across environments.
