Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Typically six years of related, progressive work experience if no bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, code, test, document, and implement complex applications and interfaces.
• Lead or contribute on small to mid-sized projects as senior team member.
• Provide technical leadership for complex projects and new technology capabilities.
• Plan, analyze, design, code, test, document, and implement software engineering tasks.
• Offer technical support and perform upgrades for developed applications.
• Enhance existing systems and participate in design reviews and walkthroughs.
• Ensure performance, interoperability, and secure development lifecycle adherence.
• Research and fact-find with vendors; review product quality and compatibility.
• Consult with clients on IT strategy and business requirements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to identify deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Stay current with industry standards and apply them to processes.
• Prepare functional/technical specifications with application users.
• Guide junior engineers as needed and assist in project planning.
