Job summary

MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and implement complex Oracle-based applications and integrations. The role spans middleware, automation, and enterprise infrastructure, with collaboration across IT teams and vendors.

The candidate will work with Oracle Fusion, Oracle IDCS/OCI IAM, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (OCI, Azure, AWS), applying DevOps practices and secure coding standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of two years of experience in business software design, development, integration, and/or installation for Software Engineer 2.
• A minimum of five years for Software Engineer 3.
• Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL development.
• Experience with .NET and other current computing languages.
• Experience integrating large enterprise-class systems with fault-tolerant deployments.
• Familiarity with security practices and integration techniques.
• Ability to work in a zero-code-ownership environment and understand deployment topologies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops, tests, implements, and supports Oracle applications, enterprise integrations, middleware platforms, automation solutions, and related infrastructure.
• Participates in application development, system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and operational support to ensure reliable and secure business solutions.
• Collaborates with application teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver and maintain integrations and automation capabilities.
• Designs, develops, integrates, and/or implements Oracle business applications, automation tools, and enterprise middleware solutions.
• Works with Oracle middleware technologies (Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle SOA Suite, WebLogic Server) and manages deployment, patching, and tuning.
• Develops and supports enterprise integrations including messaging, orchestration, file-based flows, and streaming.
