MidAmerican Energy Company seeks a Software Engineer I to participate in the design, coding, testing, documentation and implementation of applications and systems. You will evaluate software packages and work with management to identify best technology solutions.

Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, deploying software, collaborating with IT teams, and supporting on-call needs. A MIS/CS degree or related experience is required, with internship experience strongly preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in MIS/CS or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
• Internship experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of client/server and/or web development environments.
• Basic knowledge of integration and security models; proficiency with software development tools.
• Experience in a large, complex environment similar to the company.

• Design, code, test, document, implement and maintain application programs.
• Enhances existing systems; participates in client walkthroughs and technical design reviews.
• Provide customer support for package software and interfaces.
• Perform software development in accordance with secure development lifecycle practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Stay current with industry standards and apply them to development, testing and reporting processes.
