Job summary

Invitation Homes is seeking a Software Engineer III to join a small, collaborative team building and expanding product offerings for residents and internal teams. You will architect, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot distributed cloud-based applications using Salesforce technologies and modern Java stacks.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and mentorship, with agile practices and a focus on scalability, performance, and high availability.

Qualifications

• BSCS/CE or equivalent experience or bootcamp completed.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of at least one high-level language (Apex/Java/NodeJS/Python).
• Experience on Salesforce platform (Apex/Visualforce/LWC) and REST/SOAP APIs.
• CI/CD concepts and real-world application.
• Strong system design, data structures, and algorithms knowledge.
• Proficient in SQL and relational DB concepts.
• SDLC knowledge and Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy frontend and backend services with high availability, low latency, and scalability.
• Build on Salesforce platform (Apex, Visualforce, LWC) and integrations.
• Lead design, development, documentation, testing and debugging of software systems.
• Identify and resolve defects using debugging tools and monitoring platforms.
• Mentor teammates and promote best practices and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile environment and participate in ceremonies.
• Write, test, commit, review, deploy, and document code.
• Support existing products and add new features per customer requests.
