Job summary

Invitation Homes seeks a Software Engineer III to join a small, collaborative team to design, build, and maintain distributed cloud-based services for residents, operations, marketing, and leasing.

The ideal candidate will architect and implement solutions on the Salesforce platform (Apex, Visualforce, LWC), work in AWS, mentor peers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and deliver reliable software with emphasis on performance and scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent work experience or boot camp.
• At least five years of software development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Apex, Java, NodeJS, or Python.
• Experience on Salesforce platform and integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events).
• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD concepts.
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile practices.
• Mentoring other engineers encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy frontend and backend services with focus on availability, low latency, and scale.
• Develop on Salesforce platform (Apex, Visualforce, LWC) and integrations.
• Lead design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging of software systems.
• Identify and resolve defects using debugging tools and APM/logging platforms.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum activities and mentor teammates.
• Write, test, review, and document code; maintain existing products and add features.
