Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software systems supporting government missions. The role requires technical leadership, experience across AI/ML tooling, and a strong background in software engineering.

You will provide direction to junior team members, coordinate with government partners, and ensure deliverables meet mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Must be a US citizen.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or related field.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Desirable: AI/ML experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, vLLM, PyTorch Lightning, Scikit-Learn, LibreChat, Streamlit, Kubeflow, MLFlow, Bedrock, FastAPI, Tune, Ray Train, SafeTensors, ONNX.
• CKAD and CKA certifications are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Architects, designs, develops, and implements complex software projects.
• Provides technical direction to junior programmers.
• Leads projects and interfaces with government stakeholders.
• Produces technical reports and documentation.
• Delivers user-friendly software aligned with mission needs.
• Applies CI/CD practices to ensure maintainable solutions.
• Collaborates with teammates through design documents and reviews.
