Job summary

Credence Management Solutions, LLC seeks a Senior AI Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions for federal clients. You will work across cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, mission-focused capabilities, including generative AI and agentic systems.

You will mentor engineers, uphold strong engineering practices, and guide technical direction within our AI and Automation practice. Candidates must have 7+ years of experience and TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Security clearance required (TS/SCI) with CI polypreferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, AI/ML, or related field.
• 7+ years hands-on software engineering experience delivering AI/ML or LLM solutions.
• Experience building generative AI apps and working with LLMs.
• Experience designing agentic AI solutions using modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, prototyping, and refinement of AI-powered capabilities using generative AI, LLMs, retrieval patterns, prompt engineering, and secure API integrations.
• Own end-to-end agentic AI development lifecycles including model selection, tool calling, orchestration, response synthesis, evaluation, and deployment of reliable AI agents.
• Apply software engineering principles to design scalable, testable systems; conduct code reviews and establish technical patterns.
• Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, data scientists, cloud engineers, and stakeholders to translate mission needs into operational AI solutions.
• Design and automate deployment workflows using IaC, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud-native services.
• Monitor AI systems post-deployment, perform performance tuning, and apply best practices for reliability and scalability.
• Write clean, well-documented code following industry and federal guidelines; support reproducible development.
• Mentor team members and contribute to reusable standards, documentation, and design reviews.
