Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II, Ads Data Solutions Engineering to shape the architecture of scalable backend and data systems that power advertising data solutions and privacy-conscious collaboration workflows.

This role partners with cross-functional teams to strengthen operational efficiency, improve release processes, and support AI-enabled development practices. Location: Remote - US-based candidates only, compensation $192,000 – $202,500 annually.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale backend and data systems.
• Proficiency in Python and either Ruby or Go; experience with REST/gRPC APIs.
• Experience building data pipelines using DBT, Airflow, and advanced SQL.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, and cost-aware design principles.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
• Knowledge of privacy compliance practices such as GDPR and CCPA in data workflows.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for scalable systems across off-platform workflows and cleanroom environments.
• Drive modernization of core abstractions, testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Expand integrations with external advertising platforms and design privacy-forward workflows.
• Extend cleanroom orchestration and optimize data collaboration pipelines.
• Automate taxonomy intake and improve release workflows to enhance efficiency.
• Use AI tools for design, coding, and documentation; identify opportunities to apply AI.
• Mentor engineers and establish code quality standards.
