Job summary

Ping Identity is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the PingOne Platform Administration space. You will help design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs that drive admin experiences for prospects and customers.

You will mentor peers, shape technical direction, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Ping Identity. This role emphasizes cloud-native development, CI/CD, and production support within a fast-moving Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of professional software engineering on Agile teams.
• Strong backend development experience building production-grade services.
• 3+ years of experience developing Java services; NodeJS and TypeScript desired.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Report to the engineering director for the PingOne Admin Experience team.
• Serve as a senior individual contributor on the PingOne Platform Administration team.
• Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle, from requirements through deployment.
• Design and develop backend services and APIs supporting PingOne Platform Administration.
• Contribute to AI-related tooling and MCP server capabilities for developers.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, UX, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor other engineers through design reviews and code reviews.
• Improve observability, reliability, maintainability, and deployment safety of services.
