Job summary

Inductive Automation, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I (Java) for a full-time remote role. You will participate in all phases of product development, from design to deployment, and may interact with customers to gather requirements.

You will own the lifecycle of features, improve code quality, review design docs, collaborate with multiple teams, and mentor peers. Strong CS fundamentals, Java/TypeScript, SQL, and agile experience are expected.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals and knowledge of OO design, multi-threaded architecture, data structures and algorithms, plus cybersecurity.
• Hands-on programming with Java and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience ingesting data at scale (high-volume streams).
• Creative problem-solving and passion for building delightful applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; collaborates in agile teams.
• Knowledge of concurrency and multi-threading for responsive, performant apps.

Responsibilities

• Independently own lifecycle of projects or features from design through deployment.
• Improve code structure and architecture for testability and maintainability.
• Write, co-write, and review design documentation.
• Maintain high proficiency in one or more technical areas.
• Collaborate with team and adjacent teams to solve problems.
• Conduct thoughtful code reviews in a timely manner.
• Mentor other engineers and support team leadership activities.
