Job summary

Inductive Automation, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I in the United States. The role collaborates across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation, with hybrid work options. You’ll help craft software for industrial automation while delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

You will work in a team using agile methodologies, interfaces with customers as needed, and mentor peers while pursuing continuous improvement across product areas.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience in a related field.
• Strong CS fundamentals: object-oriented design, multi-threading, data structures, algorithms, and cybersecurity.
• Hands-on Java programming experience.
• Experience with IntelliJ or Git; agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Independently own the lifecycle of projects or features from design through deployment.
• Improve code structure and architecture for testability and maintainability.
• Write, co-write, and review design documentation.
• Maintain high proficiency in one or more technical areas.
• Prioritize unowned or undesirable work to help the team move faster.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and collaborates across teams to solve problems.
• Escalate issues with wider scope when needed; support teammates through coaching.
