Job summary

Inductive Automation, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I (Java) to design, develop, and maintain software solutions in a collaborative environment. The role involves full lifecycle responsibilities, including troubleshooting with customers as needed, and requires presence in the Folsom, CA area with a hybrid schedule.

You will work on high-impact projects, apply OO design and concurrency concepts, and contribute to product quality while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong object-oriented design and multi-threaded architecture knowledge.
• Experience with Java and/or TypeScript programming.
• Proficiency with IntelliJ, Git and Webpack toolchains.
• SQL and relational databases experience.
• Experience handling high-volume data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working with agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of projects from design to deployment.
• Improve code structure and architecture for testability and maintainability.
• Write and review design documentation.
• Mentor other engineers and perform code reviews.
• Collaborate with teams to solve problems and escalate when needed.
• Contribute to product areas or take on IC leadership roles.
