Job summary

Rocket Lab in Littleton, CO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I for the Digital Engineering team to build next‑generation simulation and modeling tools for aerospace systems, including flight and ground software capabilities.

You will design, code, test, and deploy across Windows and Linux using .NET, Angular, RESTful APIs, and relational databases, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience in simulation, modeling, or aerospace systems.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and Angular; TypeScript/JavaScript; building RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and OO design patterns.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop simulation and modeling tools for aerospace systems.
• Create mission-level wargaming tools across space, air, and ground domains.
• Develop web-based applications across Windows and Linux environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architectures and specifications.
• Contribute to design reviews and ensure coding standards and performance.
