Job summary

Rocket Lab in Littleton, CO seeks a Senior Software Engineer II for its Digital Engineering team to advance aerospace simulation and modeling tools, including flight and ground software.

Responsibilities span design, development, and deployment of scalable applications using .NET/Angular, TypeScript, and RESTful APIs; you will work across Windows and Linux environments with a strong emphasis on UI/UX and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain simulation and modeling tools for aerospace systems (flight and ground software).
• Design and develop mission-level wargaming tools across space, air, and ground domains.
• Develop applications using web technologies across Windows and Linux.
• Apply UI/UX best practices for intuitive interfaces of simulation/configuration tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and define architectures.
• Participate in design reviews (PDR/CDR) and refine system requirements and specs.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure coding standards and quality.
• Optimize performance and scalability for large-scale simulations and data processing.
