Job summary

Rocket Lab seeks a Senior Software Engineer I for its Digital Engineering team in Littleton, CO. You will design and implement simulation and modeling tools powering aerospace systems, including flight and ground software, with a modern stack (C#/.NET, Angular, REST APIs).

You’ll work across Windows and Linux, collaborating with engineers to define architectures, review code, and optimize performance in large-scale simulations. Base pay reflects CO values and a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of software development experience in simulation, modeling, or aerospace systems.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and Angular (or React/Vue).
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and building RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, SQLite).
• US citizenship is required due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain simulation and modeling tools for aerospace systems.
• Develop mission-level wargaming tools for space, air, and ground domains.
• Create applications with web technologies across Windows and Linux.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and architectures.
• Conduct code reviews and optimize performance for large-scale simulations.
