Job summary

DealRoom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to partner with a Product Manager and build a product end-to-end while staying hands-on in the code. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will shape technical solutions and ship software that drives customer impact.

This builder-leader role starts as a two-person team with your PM, writing code regularly and setting the technical bar. As the product gains traction, you’ll help grow and lead a broader engineering effort in a fast-moving fintech

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production systems with strong backend architecture experience.
• Experience shipping production SaaS end-to-end.
• Strong product sense and ability to partner with Product and understand customer problems.

Responsibilities

• Partner day‑to‑day with your PM to learn from customers, shape solutions, and iterate quickly
• Stay hands‑on: write the code and own the technical execution of your product area
• Own technical quality end‑to‑end through architecture, code review, testing, monitoring, rollback planning, and technical guidance
• Adopt AI‑native development practices to ship more with a small team
• Help define and grow the engineering team as the product scales
