Job summary

DealRoom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to partner with a Product Manager and build end-to-end software while staying hands-on in the code. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will work hand-in-hand with a Product Manager to understand customer problems, shape technical solutions, and ship software that drives customer and business impact.

This is a builder-leader role: start as a two-person team, set the technical bar, write code, and turn a shared direction into shipped software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production systems.
• Experience shipping production SaaS end-to-end.
• Strong product sense and partnering with Product.
• Clear judgment on when to move fast vs. robustify.
• Experience with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, Vue, AWS.

Responsibilities

• Partner day-to-day with your PM to learn from customers, shape solutions, and iterate quickly.
• Stay hands-on: write the code and own the technical execution of your product area.
• Own technical quality end-to-end through architecture, code review, testing, monitoring, rollback planning, and technical guidance.
• Adopt AI-native development practices to ship more with a small team.
• Help define and grow the engineering team as the product scales.
