Job summary

Scan.com in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Fulfillment, to design and build the integration layer that connects hundreds of imaging centers and health systems. You will craft robust, observable pipelines and reliable interfaces that scale with demand.

You will work with REST APIs, HL7 v2 transformations, and EHR integrations, mentor teammates, and help shape onboarding tooling. The role offers a flexible hybrid schedule and strong growth opportunities as we expand our

Qualifications

Expert in designing observable, replayable data pipelines.
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Ruby, Java, C#).
Experience with RESTful API integration and API contracts.
Strong operational instincts and on-call discipline.
Healthcare integration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain REST API integrations with third-party sources, including OAuth, rate limiting, retry logic, and versioning.
Design HL7 v2 transformation pipelines across RIS and EHR systems.
Build integration connectors for RIS systems (modern and legacy).
Architect fault-tolerant message queues for HL7 and API traffic.
Develop interfaces for EHR integrations (FHIR and other standards).
Own observability layer with logging, alerts, and dashboards.
