Job summary

DAT Freight & Analytics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Carrier Network Integrity team in Seattle. You’ll help harden and expand carrier data sources, build fraud actioning and investigation services, and enable a trusted network for brokers and carriers.

The role requires ownership of large features, collaboration across Design, Operations, and Product, and a strong background in Node.js/TypeScript with AWS cloud experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong knowledge in web and native technologies like Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience leading a team of engineers as a project lead
• Experience with Git version control and release management practices
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Work across the stack from UI to database
• Leverage AWS to deliver efficient, cloud-native solutions
• Design and develop code that is reliable, maintainable, and extendable
• Participate in design/code reviews
• Translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications
• Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule and software design
• Document software designs and project tasks
• Work with team members to improve development processes and practices
