Qualifications

• Direct experience running 1:1s, performance conversations, and hiring.
• Ability to lead a project or feature from planning through maintenance with measurable outcomes.
• Balance delivery urgency with team sustainability.
• Hands-on architectural awareness to guide design and systems.
• Typically 8+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery: plan sprints, refine backlog, forecast delivery.
• Lead people: conduct 1:1s, set performance expectations, write reviews, growth plans.
• Oversee contractor teams to meet same delivery and quality standards.
• Advise on architecture, flag dependencies before blockers.
• Uphold engineering standards, identify gaps and refine practices.
• Partner with Product Management to translate roadmap into shipped work.
• Share knowledge to avoid single points of failure.
