Job summary

Frame in Los Angeles is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build the risk and compliance systems that power Frame's merchant model. You’ll work primarily in Rails, Go, and TypeScript on infrastructure that decides who gets approved, what gets flagged, and how quickly we can act on a signal.

You’ll collaborate with engineers across Risk, Compliance, and Product to own core FrameOS features, payment infrastructure, and developer-facing APIs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with strong Ruby on Rails and TypeScript skills
• A track record of building platform infrastructure where reliability and correctness matter
• APIs that are obvious on first read and systems that feel inevitable once understood

Responsibilities

• Build core FrameOS platform features, including merchant onboarding flows, KYC/KYB pipelines, and compliance workflows
• Own payment infrastructure spanning direct network and card scheme integrations, tokenization, ACH and card processing
• Contribute to Frame.js and our TypeScript SDK and web component library
• Build internal operations tooling, dashboards, case management, and workflow automation
• Ship developer-facing APIs and documentation
• Build AI-powered pipelines for adverse media classification, underwriting automation, and document processing
