Job summary

AngelList is building the Nova banking and payments network for private markets. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll own high-stakes workflows around distributions, capital calls, and digital subscriptions, shaping money movement and investor trust.

You’ll work with a lean team, ship end-to-end features from design to launch, and mentor others while maintaining strong quality and reliability in a fintech context.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building backend or full-stack web apps with quality-critical products.
• Senior-level impact: owned features from design to launch and operation.
• Track record shipping sophisticated product surfaces and improving reliability.
• Strong architecture and data-modeling skills for evolving domains.
• Fluency in a modern TypeScript stack, GraphQL API, PostgreSQL, and Temporal.
• Comfort with startup ambiguity and fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship complex workflows for distributions, subscriptions, data rooms, and the LP wallet/portal.
• Take difficult problems from design through release and operation.
• Build for correctness, resilience, and strong UX where money and trust are at stake.
• Model complex business domains and maintainable systems.
• Improve the team's work through code reviews and design feedback.
• Collaborate with Product/Design and Foundations teams to integrate features.
