Job summary

AngelList is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Nova product to own high-stakes customer workflows end to end. You’ll design, build, and operate money-movement and identity-enabled features like distributions, capital calls, and subscriptions.

You'll work across backend and frontend with a modern TypeScript stack, GraphQL API, PostgreSQL, and Temporal, delivering reliable, scalable systems in a startup environment with a lean team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building backend or full-stack apps with quality-critical products.
• Senior-level impact with ownership from design to launch.
• Proven track record shipping sophisticated product surfaces and improving reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship complex workflows for distributions, subscriptions, data rooms, and the LP wallet/portal.
• Take difficult problems from design through release and operation; handle edge cases and long-tail scenarios.
• Build for correctness, resilience, and strong UX where real money and investor trust are at stake.
• Model complex business domains and maintainable abstractions for teammates to extend.
• Improve the team's work through code reviews and design feedback, and mentor other engineers.
• Work with Product/Design and Foundations teams to integrate features with money-movement and identity systems.
